Button Mums: The Not-so-Ordinary Wedding Flower

I initially started this post to talk about this gorgeous clutch and ring pillow covered with mums by Branch Design Studio and captured by Juliet Elizabeth Photography, but I got so inspired by these little flowers. They come in a variety of colors and are plentiful during the fall.

Fall 2010 Wedding Colors

Every season Pantone releases their handy-dandy color report for every season and if you know anything about fashion it influences everything, including your wedding colors. If you are planning a fall wedding and are looking for fall colors that are not orange, red or purple, here is a little inspiration for you.

Purple and Gray: Modern and Sophisticated

I am in love with the purple and gray color pallette. These colors can be as soft or as bold as you like. The key is to not overdue the purple. Purple is a color that can be easily overdone so use it sparingly and in the right places. Here is how I would use it.

Spring 2010 Colors: Your Spring Wedding

Well it is that time of year again...New York Fashion Week and with that the color gods give us the new hot colors for the upcoming season. Pantone Fashion Color Report for 2010 has been released and I like the palette a lot. So brides, if you are still trying to decide on the colors to design your wedding look no further. I love the pink champagne and tuscany colors. I think I feel an inspiration board coming on.

The Not-so-Ordinary Bridesmaid: Chloe & Reese (i'm in love)

I know I say I love a lot of things on this blog, but I really, really love this new bridal-inspired collection entitled Ardour from Chloe & Reese. They say they are designing "for the modern glamour girl" and I could not agree with that statement more. Take a look at a couple images from the collection. A Pair of Something Blue

One of my favorite wedding trends now is the sassy, colorful wedding shoe. Of course I also love the over-photographed "shoe shot". I know some photographers are a bit tired of it, but it is so amazing to me how a photographer can make them look like something more than just a pair of shoes. If you are looking for a pair of blue shoes to wear for your wedding day, I have found several that I am personally in love with. Enjoy!

Your Fall Wedding :: 2009 Colors

I know, I know, it is not even officially summer yet even though it feels like it. But I know there are brides out there who are still in the dark when it comes to planning their upcoming fall nuptials. Therefore, I find it important to impart some wedding wisdom to you fall brides out there.

If you are getting married this fall, I hope you have already decided your wedding colors. If not, this post will be very helpful to you. Every season the authority of color Pantone releases it's Fashion Color Report, which dictates what colors you will see in your favorite clothing stores and what you can anticipate as being the hot wedding colors. Now, of course if you are a soft pink girl and you have been dreaming of a monochromatic pink wedding, then please enjoy your pink. But if you are unsure allow the palette below to serve as inspiration.

Attention Spring 2009 Brides: The Hot Spring Colors Have Arrived

Pantone, the world-renowned authority on color, has released it's Spring 2009 Fashion Color Report. I love Pantone and I look for these reports every season because it gives me an idea of what the hot wedding colors will be for the upcoming season. If you are a spring bride and have yet to determine your wedding colors, let this report be your first start.

The Lavender and Fuschia Red are my favorites. I am looking forward to seeing the spring bridesmaids dresses in these beautiful colors!

Ooooo! Pretty Bridesmaids Dresses: Lynn Lugo

I am in love with vibrant colors and not so traditional bridal attire. This includes the bridesmaids. I ran across this designer today as I was catching up on my blog stalking. (Thanks Promised Hearts for keeping me in the know!) So I thought I would share my new fav bridesmaids designer. Lynn Lugo! I am totally in love with the colors and also the variety of designs. If you are a bride and want your bridesmaids to make a statement, you may want to take a look at what Lynn Lugo has to offer. Also, how could I leave this out, Lynn Lugo gives brides the capability of customizing the look of the individual dresses. So if you were interested in widening the sash or adding a different hem color, take a look at this site and the many other options available to you. Take a look at a few of my favorites.

Fall Wedding Colors for 2008

I love looking at the new hot colors for every season and the fall 2008 color report has been released from Pantone. I've blogged about this report now for a couple of seasons and it's amazing how right on it is. I walk through the mall or browse magazines and the colors are there being worn in the season's most fabulous fashions. But these colors trickle down to weddings and event design also!


For instance, the Spring 2008 Report showed Daiquiri Green and Snorkel Blue as being two of the "it" colors for spring and here is an example of a spring wedding showing how beautiful these tones are together.
