Finally, I'm back! It was a longer than anticipated blogging break, but I'm back with more info to help you make your wedding day one you'll happily remember. So, I figured I blog about the most important item to most brides, her bridal gown. The interesting thing about shopping for gowns is understanding what types of gowns look good on your body. Now, of course you should try everything on and I even recommend trying on gowns you think you may not look good in. You never really know what you'll like until you have it on and you're looking in the mirror. So let's talk about the types of silhouettes first: A-line, Mermaid, Ball Gown and Sheath.
Here is an A-line Gown: The gown that hides! :) If you're trying to cover your butt, legs or hips this type of silhouette will help you achieve that. Here are a few of my favorites.
Michelle Roth
Melissa Sweet
Jim Hjelm
Mermaid Gowns: The gown that flatters all of the curves. If you have a gorgeous hourglass figure this gown would look great on you.
Lazaro
Jim Hjelm
Ball Gowns/Princess: These beautiful gowns have a fitted bodice and a full skirt. This gown hides also and gives you a smaller waistline. If you are full figured or pear shaped this gown is suited for you.
Amalia Carrara
Kirstie Kelly
Sheath: These gowns are made to flatter the bust waist and hips. This gown compliments tall slim figures and those who are petite.
Romona Keveza
Kirstie Kelly
Pnina Tornai
I hope this gave you some help on your gown search. Continue to check back as we look at necklines, waistlines and straps and sleeves. All very important when you're looking for the perfect wedding gown!
