Not only is purple my absolute favorite color, it is also a very popular color for weddings. Historically, the color purple has been associated with royalty and power. In ancient Rome, purple dyes made from mollusks were so rare only the very rich could afford them. Today, the color shows a bride’s creative, passionate, and romantic side. Purple comes in a wide spectrum of shades, making it ideal for any event. Soft lavender goes perfectly with lighthearted events, and pairing deep purple with blues, smoky grays, or ruby red is ideal for a modern sophisticated look. While creating this inspirational board, I was secretly planning my own wedding in the back of my head!
